Early life: –

Lata Mangeshkar was born on 26 September 1929 in Indore (now Madhya Pradesh), the capital of the then state of Indore. His father Pandit Dinanath Mangeshkar was a Marathi and Konkani musician and stage actor. Her mother Shevanti (later renamed Sudhamati) was a Gujarati woman from Talnar (now North-West Maharashtra) in the Bombay Presidency. She was Dinanath’s second wife. His first wife was Narmada Shevanti’s elder sister, who died.

When he was at home as a child, he was not allowed to sing anything except KL Saigal. My father wanted me to stay with only Drapadi songs. When he was able to buy the first radio in his life, he was eighteen. But after buying the radio, the first thing he had to do was turn on the knob. L. Siegel is no more. In 1989, the Government of India awarded him the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. For his contribution, he was awarded India’s highest honor, the Bharat Ratna in 2001; M. S. He is the second musician to receive this medal after Subbulakshmi. In 2006, the French government awarded him the title of Legion d’Or, France’s highest civilian honor.

She has won numerous awards including 3 National Film Awards, 15 Bengali Film Journalists Association Awards, 4 Filmfare Awards in the category of Best Backing Vocalist, 2 Special Filmfare Awards, Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award. In 1964, he became the first Indian to perform at the Royal Albert Hall.

Lata is the eldest of five siblings. His other siblings are Asha Bhonsle, Usha Mangeshkar, Meena Mangeshkar and Hridaynath Mangeshkar.
